Switching to EE Broadband

What does it take to switch to EE?

Enter your postcode in our availability checker to check the speeds available to your home, choose your plan, enter your details and we'll take care of the rest.

Will I be able to keep my existing landline number?

You can usually keep your landline number. If you provide us with your existing landline number when you're completing your order, we'll let you know.

What if I need a new phone line?

If you need a new phone line, we'll let you know while you're making your order, and you can request an appointment for an engineer to install one. We'll be in touch as soon as this has been arranged for you. A standard installation charge of £50 will be added to your first bill.

How long will it take for my router to arrive?

Your new router and Quick Start Guide will arrive by post before your broadband switches to EE. And you won't need to wait in for a delivery as our Bright Box and Smart Hub routers have been designed to fit through most letterboxes.

How do I get help with my broadband?

Is the broadband data allowance really unlimited?

Yes. Unlimited means unlimited. Customers on any unlimited home broadband plan have an unlimited data allowance. This means you can browse, download, stream videos and play games online without worrying about usage caps or extra costs. For more information check our Traffic Management Policy.

Broadband from EE - Offers & Legals

These introductory offers are available to customers joining EE broadband for the first time. Offers are not transferable. All plans have 24 month minimum terms, are for consumers only and are subject to credit check and availability. All charges assume online billing. £50 charge applies if a new phone line is required. Equipment: You own the router 14 days after activation of your broadband service. If you choose to cancel within the 14 days, you will be required to return any equipment received and may have to cover the cost of return.

Out of contract broadband prices: From month 25 the monthly prices will be - Standard Broadband £32; Fibre £37; Fibre Plus £42; Fibre Max 1 £49; Fibre Max 2 £54.

Average speeds: based on speed available to at least 50% of customers at peak time (8-10pm). Your actual speed will be dependent on your location, phone line, home wiring, wi-fi connection and time of day. Check your speed and see whether you can get our Fibre and Fibre Max plans using the post code checker above.

Full Fibre Broadband: Only available without landline for customers living in premises enabled for full fibre from EE. Next-day activation available where an existing full fibre service is not in place. Orders must be placed before 1:30pm.

Data Boost Discount: Available to selected new and existing EE customers on a pay monthly handset plan or selected SIM only phone plans who also have an existing eligible BT Broadband Plan. Both accounts to be registered to the same account holder at the same address to benefit from a double data boost on their registered EE Plan. Double data applicable to all numbers registered on the EE account. Double data applied to core data allowance only. One eligible EE account per BT account. Consumer plans only. You can only have one double data offer per EE mobile account. If either the EE or BT account has an outstanding overdue balance, the double data will be removed. If you are no longer an eligible EE or BT customer, double data will be removed. No cash alternative. May take up to 24 hours to activate. 20GB Data Boost (5GEE Home Router Plan): Available to new and existing Pay Monthly phone customers who sign up to a 5GEE Home Router plan. Data allowance boosted by 20GB. Not available with 30 day SIM Only plans or non-lead sharer plans. You’ll lose the data boost if you cancel Home Broadband plan or Pay Monthly phone plan, or switch to a 30 day SIM Only plan. In order to retain your data boost when you upgrade or change your Pay Monthly phone plan, your 5GEE Home Router plan must still be active, and you must be moving to or remaining on a Pay Monthly phone plan. It can take up to 30 days from 5GEE Home Router plan account start date for your Data Boost to be applied. Data fair use policy may apply when roaming. One boost per household. Subject to availability. We reserve the right to withdraw or vary the boost at any time.

4GEE/5GEE Home Router: Indoor use only. Compatible laptop/tablet and 4G/5G coverage required, see ee.co.uk/why-ee/mobile-coverage. Available on 24 month minimum term or 30 day contract. Subject to credit check. Plans are for mobile internet in a fixed location. Supports up to 32 compatible devices. Signal range up to 30m. The more devices you have connected to your 4G/5GEE Home Router at the same time, the slower your internet connection will be. Fair Usage Policy: Unlimited Plans are for personal, non-commercial use only. We will consider usage above 1000GB/month to be non-personal use and have the right to apply traffic management controls to deprioritise your mobile traffic during busy periods or to move you to a business plan.

Calls: Our broadband plans do not come with inclusive calls as standard. You can choose to purchase one of our range of calling add-ons: anytime calls to UK landlines, anytime calls to UK landlines and mobiles; or anytime UK and International calls. If you do not purchase a calling add-on, then any calls you make will be charged at our standard call rates, which can be found in our price guide at ee.co.uk/homepricing. If you make calls to numbers beginning 084, 087, 09 or 118 in the UK, your call charge is comprised of the EE access charge of 13p/min and a service charge that is set by the organisation you are calling. If you have an active calling add-on and call 0845 or 0870 numbers at any time, we’ll cover the cost of the EE access charge. All calls are rounded up to the nearest minute, excluding fixed fee calls, those that are free, or for calls to service number. Our calls are for normal person-to-person use from your landline and are subject to your acceptance of our Network Terms. We monitor use in accordance with those terms; if you appear to be using our services for improper purposes, we reserve the right to monitor your usage and/or suspend or terminate your service.

Calling Add-Ons: One active Calling Add-On per account. You must keep your Calling Add-On for at least 30 days. For all Calling Add-Ons: Re-dial before 60 minutes to avoid call charges. All calls are rounded up to the nearest minute. If you make calls to numbers beginning 084, 087, 09 or 118 in the UK, your call charge is comprised of the EE access charge of 13p/min and a service charge that is set by the organisation you are calling. When you call 0845 or 0870 numbers at any time we’ll cover the cost of the EE access charge. 29p connection charge and standard per minute charges apply if you have used up your 1,500 minutes to UK mobile numbers. Weekend Calls to UK Landlines: Zero-rated calls to UK landlines starting 01, 02 and 03 at the weekend (that’s from midnight on Friday night to midnight on Sunday night).

Anytime Calls to UK Landlines & Mobiles: Zero-rated calls to UK landlines starting 01, 02, 03 and 1,500 minutes per month to call UK mobile numbers (excluding Jersey, Guernsey & Isle of Man.

Anytime UK & International Calls: Zero-rated calls to UK landlines starting 01, 02, 03 and to selected international standard landline numbers (see ee.co.uk/homepricing for countries), together with 1,500 minutes per month to call UK mobile numbers (excluding Jersey, Guernsey & Isle of Man). Add-On also gives 30% discount on our standard rates for calls from your UK landline to all other international landlines. We can change any of the included countries from the Add-On upon reasonable notice. Call Plus add-on: Includes: Anonymous Call Rejection, Call Diversion, Call Waiting, Choose to Refuse, Reminder Call, Ring Back, Three-Way Calling. Early cancellation credit: Only available to customers who are in contract with another provider for their broadband and calls subscription on the date they join EE broadband and paid charges incurred for leaving early (for example “early termination” or “early cancellation” charges, does not include standard monthly or outstanding call charges), evidence of which must be provided by uploading electronic copies at 50credit.ee.co.uk, where instructions on how to do this are provided. You must claim within 90 days of your EE broadband service being activated. Credit will be applied to your EE broadband account in the next month following the satisfactory completion and processing of your request.
